Angling Boat fishing at Kilmore Quay is regarded as being among the best in Ireland. A wide range of species is available as can be seen from returns in recent years where no less than 35 different types of fish have been recorded. Shore fishing in the area is also of a very high standard from a number of rock, beach and pier venues. The Spring and Autumn fishing in particular is highly regarded for Bass, Codling, Coalfish, Dogfish, Wrasse, Ray and Flounder and no matter what the weather conditions there will always be a sheltered location close by that can produce good results. |
Wexford County possesses an abundance of clean rivers and lakes to cater for the coarse and game angler; the Rivers Barrow and Slaney are the two largest rivers.
